Right out of the bottle the 2020 Chardonnay blooms of Meyer Lemon olive oil cake; as it settles in the glass a spiced Golden Delicious apple pie arrives. The hue is a light mellow yellow which gets you excited for the first sip. Boy this vintage is a doozy; flavors of bright almost ripe pineapple shine first, backed by the distinct taste of Sicilian Almonds, Jasmine Tea and the perfect amount of flinty minerality. This is a wine for the ages.
Aging:
9 months on 25% new French Oak and 50% underwent malolactic fermentation
